You can play this game with as few as four people, but the more the merrier!
Divide into teams.
Tear up some paper so that everyone has five small pieces of equal size. Each player should write the name of a person on each of thier pieces of paper. Anyone is fair game: politicians, movie stars, other players, obscure poets. But you will want to put down the names of people you think your teammates will know.
Put all the pieces of paper in a big bowl and mix them up.
Have a player from the first team pick a paper without looking. Turn over a timer. The team gets one minute until thier time is up. The player can say whatever she wants other than "rhymes with" or "sounds like" or any word that is on the paper itself, in order to get her teammates to guess the person on the paper. When the team has correctly guessed the answer, move on to the next. Continue through the papers until the time runs out. Count the number of correct guesses and record the number.
The second team proceeds in the same way.
Play this way, recording the scores for each team, until all the papers have been used and all the celebrity names have been correctly guessed.
Then, place all the papers back in the bowl. For round two, the player who is pulling the papers can only use three words per paper to get her teammates to correctly guess the name.
